If you are going to pay $50 then wait till the weather is warm early in the morning, through the day and when buses can stop by at least every 10 minutes.

Maybe there wasn't enough drivers, maybe because it was early March, I don't know. I only got off once to sightsee and ended up getting off at the end at the statehouse at 4:15. But I waited 25 minutes to board at the State house and I had to wait about 45 minutes after leaving the Constituiton warship. I did not have any time to go through the museums. And I thought it was well worth stopping for the USS Constitution tour, but I wished I knew the schedule better and more about the museums. And I was told by information it could be done in 1 1/2 hours with added time for the stops you had. Between 12:30 - 4:15 I was only able to stop once and that was at the USS Constitution. I was under the impression that waiting times were short, but I had to do a lot of waiting.
#BOSTON SIGHTSEEING DRIVERS#
Other than the one hiccup-we loved it! We still have the Cheers song in our head! Read moreĪlthough the bus drivers do a good job of guides talking about the sites and being upbeat, I was misinformed on how often buses dropped off and picked up. We ended up walking to stop 12 because we never could find 11. They blend in to much to all the other white signs. Or just make your signs a little more transparent. Even locals were confused by the map vs what is actually on google.

Since it was one of the first buses nothing had come by yet. We started at stop 11 and ended up walking in circles in the rain for over an hour trying to figure out where in Copley Square the stop was.

The only suggestion I would make is to update your map so that the stops and the buildings actually matched where you were. Especially if you want to stop at all the places and look around a bit. Made it easy to not have to use the tram and buses. It was also a huge help on the second day to use for transportation when our feet were worn out even though we had heard a lot of the stuff already. Very informative and interesting to learn some not so typical history too. Read moreĬaptain Matty was awesome! The trolley tour was definitely worth the time. Thank you, Old Town Trolley, for making our social event fabulous and logistically very easy for a large group. I would definitely use Old Town Trolley again personally and for business events. As a Boston native, even I learned things on the tour and saw a couple parts of the city I was not very familiar with. Heading back over the Charles from the Cambridge side at night was picture perfect as it was all illuminated.

The resounding feedback was "it was a great night and just perfect after a long day of business meetings". Our guests were from all over the country and all had rave reviews of the tour and the guides. The seats were comfortable (not the hard bench seats but comfy, individual fabric seats), which I didn't expect and was very pleased about. They allowed us to bring snacks onboard and worked with us ahead of time to schedule a 45 minute stop at Faneuil Hall so guests could take a quick dinner break. The trolleys picked up our group at our hotel in the Seaport - they arrived early and left on the dot. Working with Old Town Trolley was easy from our initial inquiry, to booking to payment to trip execution. I chartered 2 trolleys for an evening group tour for our business association's event outing.
